Taken a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday night (usually reserved for Daddy & Edwin as mommy is at Bible Study). Yes, he has ravioli all over his face, and yes the shirt was RUINED!!!
Last night after Edwin's bathtime, I realized I hadn't taken many pictures of him lately. After some thought, I came up with a reason - He's always moving!!!! Haha. Anyway, Ed asked me when I was going to update my blog because evidently our friend Tom wanted to know.
Tom, his wife Lauren, and their two boys Chase and Cole live in Cleveland, Ohio. The guys used to work together, and I became friends with Lauren when I lived up in OH a couple of years ago. I hate that they're so far away - especially now that we have kids the same age. But it's always fun to see them when we head up north for a visit...we usually pick up as if no time has passed. So Tom and Lauren, this post is for you :)
I haven't updated much about Baby #2 for several reasons. One being that I'm so exhausted all the time, it's hard to put together a coherent blog post! So here's a few sentences to catch you up on what's going on. As of today, I'm 10 weeks and 4 days along. For a couple of weeks, I had some pretty nasty nausea (but nothing compared to another friend of mine who is almost 16 weeks and STILL THROWING UP!!). I didn't want to eat anything and even food commercials on tv made me want to give up old reruns of Friends. But for the past three days, I've felt relatively good. The tummy is still finicky but I see clear days ahead. The one thing I remember vividly from my pregnancy with Edwin is the exhaustion, and it seems to be true this time around as well. I've been feeling guilty lately because when I get home from work, it's all I can do not to stare at the clock and wait for bedtime. I really don't want to wish away the time with Ed and Edwin...I am just SO TIRED!!!! Again, I know it'll go away sometime in the 2nd trimester, so I'm just hanging on for the next few weeks. One thing that's very different during this pregnancy is the belly. At less than 11 weeks, I'm already wearing maternity clothes. Yup. For a few weeks, I was able to use a belly band and just wear regular clothes, but even that became uncomfortable after awhile. I splurged the other day and ordered a couple of things from oldnavy.com and I can't wait for them to arrive!!
So there you have it...an update on Baby #2. I was trying to come up with a cute nickname...for Edwin it was Peanut. I thought possibly "Olive" because at the time, baby was the size of (you guessed it) an olive. Somehow that's not working for me anymore. Guess I'll just have to hold on until 19 weeks when I can find out if it's a boy or girl and actually give this baby a name!!
I'll leave you with some pictures from last night and a dance video. For Christmas, we got Edwin an Elmo Live. Now before anyone starts a nasty email or comment wondering how the heck I could pay $59.99 for one toy, hold your horses. I got a killer deal at Kohl's and paid less than 35 bucks for the thing. And once you see the video, you'll realize it was worth it. Enjoy!!
